Description

The new building has a basement and 3 floors above ground, with a surface area of 1,400 m², and it is integrated as an extension of the current PQ-III building. The basement floor is intended for storage, ground and first floors for production and the second floor for Laboratory, with an open area for future expansion. The technical area of facilities is located on the ground floor.
The facilities have their own identity as they are equipped with new cutting-edge equipment to produce drugs, together with complete measurement and analysis laboratories. The rooms are classified under ISO 8 standards.
Covex has entrusted BOD Arquitectura e Ingeniería from a very early stage of the project for the development of the conceptual studies of the project, the drafting of the basic projects, execution and activity, the permitting for construction and activity and, finally, the construction management during the development of the works. The Client has also been supported in advising the machinery and accompanying them in the implementation of processes until validation by the AEMPS.
The entire project has been developed with BIM technology into a multidisciplinary team made up of architects, Pharmaceutical process engineers and consultants with vast experience in this sector, with which it has been possible to materialize the process chain initially conceived in a production line.
