Description

The biggest challenge of this building's design was to achieve a completely sustainable building in which the "zero consumption target" is achieved. A large roof canopy of photovoltaic panels generates the energy for the consumption of the building and helps to shade the facades, as the roof extends to the outer line of the plot.
The shading is enhanced by vertical fins that provide aesthetic rhythm to the different facades of the building, and by horizontal maintenance platforms that run around the entire perimeter of the building.
The layout of interior courtyards enables the generation of cross-floor ventilation, which provides significant savings in one of the most energy-consuming components of today's buildings: ventilation.
The maximum possible floor area has been used to achieve larger, easily divisible floors that helps to achieve a wide range of layout possibilities for different tenant scenarios. In this way, we maximize the area covered by photovoltaic panels and minimize the ratio of facade per built sqm. These factors are crucial to ensure sustainability goals.

The internal distribution of the communication core enables the arrangerment of the floor plan into four areas of equal surface and equipment, providing each floor quarter with both main and service access directly connected to the communication core plus giving each floor room a private toilet area.
Each office area has a terrace for private use that connects the floor directly to the exterior spaces of the building.
The vegetation allows to create a natural surrounding environment and is introduced into the building through its ground floor. One of the most distinctive elements of the building are the iconic massive ceramic pots on which the building seems to float, from which the vegetation blooms and climbs up the facade.
